I am excited to be running for a third term as a judge in Department 11 of the Spokane County Superior Court, where I have served since my election in 2016.
The law was my calling as a young man, even before I started undergraduate studies at Gonzaga in the fall of 1975. Since graduating from Gonzaga Law in 1983, it has become the lens through which I see and interact with the world.
I was born and raised in a small town in Montana, where my uncle was a lawyer. I watched him help people with everything from real estate closings, to business planning, speeding tickets, and everything in between.
Before becoming a judge, I spent over 33 years in private practice. It is that lived experience that guides my decisions as a judicial officer. Running a courtroom has given me new appreciation for the importance of listening, hearing and understanding the law of each case.
In January I was elected by my peers to be Presiding Judge of Spokane County Superior Court. It is my honor to serve the people of Spokane County and I look forward to continuing that service into 2025 and beyond. Thank you for your support.
